What Is Our Iftar?
Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during Ramadan. We hold an Iftar gathering for women, girls and boys under 12 years old.
This event started through our Multicultural Project Officer, Zulfiya Abdulla. Community members, volunteers and staff support the evening. We come together to share food, celebrate Ramadan and strengthen our community bonds.
What To Expect
Breaking Fast Together
We break our fast together at the appropriate time. Food is provided. We share this sacred moment as a community.
Shared Meal
Enjoy a meal together. Food prepared with care. Halal food. Traditional dishes. Everyone eats together.
Community Connection
Meet other Muslim women and families. Share experiences. Make friends. Let your daughters connect with other girls. Watch boys play together.
This is your space. Your community. Your time to feel at home.
For mothers
Bring your children. Your daughters will meet other Muslim girls. Your young sons can play safely while you connect with other mothers.
We understand:
- Raising children in a new country
- Wanting your children to know their faith community

- Balancing family and community
You’re not alone. Come find mothers like you.
