Why Bringing Your Children Matters
Your children learn through play. They learn to share. They learn to communicate. They make friends. Early experiences shape how they grow.
You need connection too. Parenting is hard work. When you meet other parents, you realise you’re not alone. You share ideas. You support each other. You make friends.
Your children see you connecting with others. This teaches them about community and friendship.
What Happens At Playgroup
9.30am – Arrive when you’re ready. No stress if you’re a bit late.
Play time – Children explore toys, activities, outdoor play. You chat with other parents. Staff support children’s play and development.
Fruit time – Everyone sits together. Share the fruit families brought. Chat together. Children practise social skills.
More play – Continue playing until 11.30am.
11.30am – Leave when you’re ready.
Some families stay the whole time. Some leave earlier. Both are fine. Come when suits you.

Questions?
What if my child is shy?
Many children are shy at first. They can stay close to you. They can watch before they play. This is normal.
What if my child has disability or developmental delay?
Tell us. We welcome all children. We adjust activities to include them.
Â
What if I don't speak English well?
Many parents at Playgroup speak different languages. We help each other understand. Your children will learn English by playing with other children.
Â
What fruit should I bring?
Any fruit you like. Bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, melon. Enough for your family to share with others.
Â
What if I can't afford $2?
Talk to us. Cost should never stop you from coming.
Â
What if my child doesn't want to share?
Young children are learning to share. This is normal. We help them learn gently.
