Beginner English

Wednesday, 9.30am to 11.30am
Join any time

Learn to speak, read and write English. We help you. We go slowly. We celebrate when you learn new words. You will speak English with more confidence.

Intermediate English

Thursday, 9.30am to 11.30am
Join any time

Practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in English. Learn with others who understand. You will speak English better. You will feel more confident at work and with your children’s homework.

Sewing Skills

Monday, 10am to 1pm
Join any time

Learn to sew. Make clothes. Fix clothes. Learn with friendly people who help you. Bring your own fabric and machine, or use ours. Good for beginners.

Cost: $5 per session

Computer & Technology Skills

Starting late 2026

Learn to use computers. Use the internet. Use Word and Excel. We teach slowly and help you. You will feel more confident with technology.

Customer Service Skills

Learn how to help customers. Learn to speak with people at work. Learn to make customers happy. We help you plan your next steps for work.

Advocacy Skills

Tuesday, 9.30am to 11.30am
8 weeks, starts 3 February 2026

Learn to speak up for yourself and others. Learn to communicate what you need. Make decisions with confidence. Your voice matters.

Facilitation Skills (Train The Trainer)

Thursday, 9.30am to 1.30pm
8 weeks, starts 12 March 2026

Learn to teach adults. Learn to present and communicate well. Learn to plan lessons and manage groups. Share your skills with confidence.

Work Ready Skills (Torrens Transit Pathway)

Wednesday, 9.30am to 11.30am
6 weeks, starts 29 April 2026

Learn to write your resume. Learn to do job interviews. Learn to prepare your application papers for a Bus Driver job at Torrens Transit. See if this job is right for you.

We help you prepare. We don’t work for Torrens Transit. This class does not give you a job. It helps you apply for a job.

Introduction To Care

Thursday and Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
10 weeks, starts 29 January 2026

Learn skills for work with older people or people with disability. Learn work health and safety. Learn infection control. Learn communication and advocacy. Get your First Aid certificate from TAFE SA. See if this work is right for you.

You get a certificate when you finish: Provide First Aid (HLTAID011), Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) and Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (HLTAID010).

Cost: $5 per session

Introduction To Construction

Starting late 2026

Learn skills for construction work. Learn work health and safety. Learn to use tools. Get your White Card from CITC. See if construction work is right for you.

You get a certificate when you finish: Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (CPCWHS1001).

Introduction To Women's Studies

Starting late 2026

Build confidence. Learn about your goals. Make plans for your future. We understand the challenges women face. Learn about self-confidence, wellbeing, health, advocacy and future pathways. Get your Communicate Assertively certificate from TAFE SA.

You get a certificate when you finish: Communicate Assertively (WOMCOM204).

What Happens Next

Some people go to TAFE or university after our classes. Some people find work. Some people volunteer here or in other places. Some people come back every year to learn new skills.

All of these are good. Your path is yours. We help you with your goals.

For Parents

Your children matter to us. We have childcare for your children aged 0 to 5 years. Your children play safely while you learn in class.

Who Can Join?

You can join if you are 17 to 65 years old and not in school. That’s all. No tests. No forms. No other rules.

Do classes cost money?

Most classes cost $2 to $5 each time. Some classes are free.

 

We go at your speed. No one gets left behind.

We look after children aged 0 to 5 years for free while you are in class.

 

We teach English classes. Our other classes welcome everyone. Your English level is okay.
